What we collect

• Your voter credentials (Voter ID and a hashed password) issued by the Electoral Committee.
• Contact details (email / phone) used only for delivering credentials and one-time verification codes.
• Demographic fields (department, programme, level, gender) used solely to determine eligibility.
• Security metadata (IP address, browser) recorded in a tamper-evident audit log to protect election integrity.

The secrecy of your ballot

Your ballot is secret. The record that you voted is kept separately from how you voted — no administrator can link your identity to your candidate selections. Only anonymous, aggregated tallies are ever published.

How we use it

• To authenticate you and ensure one vote per eligible voter.
• To send you your credentials, reminders and verification codes.
• To detect and prevent fraud, and to produce official results and audit reports.

Retention & your rights

Data is retained for the duration of the election and its statutory review period, then archived or deleted per your institution's policy. To access, correct or query your data, contact your Electoral Committee.
